Head of Centre

Would you like to lead a team of passionate volunteers in providing marriage preparation and relationship counselling services to couples/individuals in the local area?  We’re looking for people who thrive on motivating teams, have management and leadership experience and an appreciation for the traditions, structures and current developments in the Catholic Church to take on this challenging and rewarding role.

Deputy Head of Centre

Would you like to help lead a local team of counsellors and marriage preparation course providers in supporting couples in the community? You would be working closely with the head of centre to assist with tasks, such as recruitment and selection of new centre members. You will be joining a friendly and committed local team making a real difference to relationships, with support from the national office. This role will give you the chance to make a difference to society whilst growing and developing your skills.

Marriage Preparation Course Facilitator

Are you passionate about healthy marriages? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals or couples who have an understanding of and positive commitment to the values of Christian marriage to present our marriage preparation courses for those getting married in the Church.

We get great feedback from couples attending our courses and from our volunteers.

Qualified Experienced Relationship Counsellor

Are you a qualified relationship counsellor with over 150 hours of relationship counselling experience? Would you like to help us in our mission to support couples in distress with professional relationship counselling regardless of their ability to pay?

We welcome applications from people who share our passion for relationship health and who respect and are willing to engage with our values.

FOCCUS Facilitator

Are you are a good communicator with experience of marriage within the Catholic Church? If so you could train to be a FOCCUS© Facilitator and use this questionnaire based relationship tool to help prepare couples for the lifelong commitment of marriage and understand their relationship better.

Receptionist/Chaperone

Do you enjoy meeting people and putting them at their ease?  One of Marriage Care’s most valued services is our relationship counselling but we cannot offer this service without a receptionist (chaperone) to welcome clients and stay in reception during the counselling session. We are looking for a friendly and helpful volunteer to spend a couple of hours on a weekday evening, sharing with other volunteers. Local travel expenses will be paid.

Team Assistant

We are looking for people to help on marriage preparation days (usually Saturdays), serving refreshments, registering couples and assisting as necessary at centre meetings and the occasional publicity event.  This is a great team- role and a chance to be involved in our marriage preparation days.
