Marriage Care is honoured and delighted to be among the recipients of this year’s Charles Plater Trust awards. Our grant will fund a new project, Personal Formation for Counselling and Facilitation: Lay Leadership in the post-Millennial Age, which aims to deepen the leadership of Marriage Care’s volunteers by engaging them in reflecting more deeply on our mission, ethos and values as expressed in our vision statement. This builds on the findings of earlier Plater funded research with Marriage Care’s volunteers by the University of Roehampton. The grant will enable us to develop an online formation module, accessible to all our geographically-dispersed volunteers.
