Jean Marsh
Jean Marsh joined Marriage Care in 1980 following a career in education, which included working as a Principal of a Catholic school in Liverpool. A highly experienced counsellor and supervisor, she is an integral part of the Marriage Care Team. She works with both couples and individuals to help them overcome common relationship problems including debt, depression, communication breakdown, affairs and addiction.
Jean’s experience also includes training counsellors and marriage preparation course facilitators in the Manchester, Salford, Bolton and Liverpool Marriage Care centres.
Jean has a degree in social sciences from the Open University and an MSc in Psychology from the University of Manchester, where she also qualified as a counsellor. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and is also a spiritual director, trained by the Manresa Jesuit Centre of Spirituality.
She is married to David and they have two married sons and three grandchildren. They live in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire.
