Bridie Collins
Bridie Collins joined Marriage Care in 1996 as a volunteer counsellor, subsequently qualifying as a supervisor and tutor of both counsellors and marriage preparation course facilitators. She is passionate about helping couples who are struggling in their relationships, having witnessed the pain and disruption of marriage breakdown amongst close family and friends.
In 2006 Bridie joined the national staff team where she has been instrumental in developing Marriage Care’s Preparing Together course – a one day marriage preparation workshop, delivered nationally.
In 2013 she was appointed as Director of Relationship Support Services for the charity. Her role involved giving strategic direction to the two main relationship support services provided by Marriage Care: couple counselling and relationship education (including marriage preparation). Bridie’s current role is as Consultant to the CEO and Directors.
Bridie has a diploma in relationship counselling and clinical supervision, and is one of only four FOCCUS Super Trainers worldwide.
She is married with two children.
