Our wonderful Marriage Care Member, Sheila, and her family have contributed a combined eight years of service to Marriage Care. Sheila has acted as a Head of Centre and a Trustee, while her husband, John, took on the role of Chaperone. Their daughter has also volunteered as a Chaperone, providing invaluable support to our Counsellors and Marriage Preparation Facilitators.
They have now taken on the challenge of virtually cycling from Carlisle all the way to Rome! As keen cyclists, Sheila wanted to keep up her and John’s hobby while in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Very kindly, she has set up a fundraising page, of which the proceeds will go to the NHS and Marriage Care.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sheila and John for their kind efforts – now and over the years – to ensure we can still be here to support couples at breaking point. We would also like to wish Sheila and John a very happy 45th wedding anniversary, which they celebrated last week!
